ANN Inc., which is the parent company of Ann Taylor and LOFT, will be supporting the fight against breast cancer during the month of October.
They have teamed up with the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, and will be selling the Ann Taylor and LOFT Care Cards. In the past four years, the company has raised more than $6.5 million for breast cancer, and has funded 10 research projects.
"The Breast Cancer Research Foundation is so grateful to ANN INC. for the Ann Taylor Cares and LOFT Cares programs. ANN INC.'s ability to rally its employees and customers to support life-saving breast cancer research is truly amazing," said Evelyn H. Lauder, chairman and founder of The Breast Cancer Research Foundation. "These remarkable programs are truly making a difference in finding a cure for breast cancer in our lifetime and BCRF is honored to be the recipient."
According to the American Cancer Society, one in eight women in the U.S. will eventually be diagnosed with breast cancer. It is the second most common type of cancer in women, besides skin cancer.
