The team will raise money from the sale of raffle tickets and donations from the community. The first 500 people to come to the event will receive pink beverage koozies, and the first 1,000 fans will receive a pink noisemaker. Auburn gymnastics will also give a free raffle ticket to anyone who wears a pink article of clothing.
Breast cancer has touched the life of head coach Jeff Graba, and he believes it's important for his student athletes to give back to the community.
"The meet is important to me since my mother has battled this for many years. I'm sure that nearly every fan in our stands Friday night will have been affected by this disease in some way," he told the news source.
According to BreastCancer.org, there are over 2.5 million breast cancer survivors currently living in the United States.
