One of the largest online retailers of lingerie is now doing their part to help out with a great cause. Bare Necessities has announced that they have raised $16,000 for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF).
The move comes after the company stated that profits from every bra sale during the month of October would be donated toward the nonprofit organization.
"We were delighted to partner with The Breast Cancer Research Foundation," said Jessica Jackson, VP of e-commerce for Bare Necessities. "Our customers really came through - their overwhelming response to this fundraising effort far exceeded our expectations."
This isn't the first year the two have partnered with one another. In fact, Bare Necessities has been working with the BCRF for the past nine years. It looks as though their collaboration will continue in the future.
"We're so excited about the results that we're going to continue providing BCRF with our support in the future," Jackson said.
According to the American Cancer Society, one in eight women living in the United States will be diagnosed with breast cancer at some point during their lifetime.
