The Breast Cancer Research Foundation held a Hot Pink party at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in New York and raised more than $4 million for breast cancer, according to the Daily Mail.
Many of those who attended wore pink colored clothes and the guest list included many well-known singers and actresses, including Elton John, Elizabeth Hurley and Abigail Breslin.
The Breast Cancer Research Foundation received an A+ rating from the American Institute of Philanthropy, making it the only breast cancer organization to have such a title, according to the group's official website.
The group's mission is to raise money for breast cancer cures, including those related to translational medicine.
About one in eight women in the U.S. will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime.
