Bridgestone Golf, one of the most prominent golfing companies in America, recently announced that it would be doing its part during Breast Cancer Awareness Month by offering golfers a limited edition version of one of its most popular golf balls, the TOUR B330-RX, which will be finished in pink to show its support for the cause.
According to the company, with every dozen balls purchased, a portion of the cost will be donated to a national breast cancer foundation to put towards researching a cure. Aside from the balls, the company will also be donating a portion of the sales from its Precept Pink Lady iQ+ golf balls during the month of October. They expect to donate at least $20,000 toward finding a cure.
"Breast cancer awareness
is a cause that many here in our Bridgestone family hold close to their hearts, as the disease has impacted all of us in some way at one time or another," said Bridgestone Golf's director of marketing, Brandon Sowell. "We are excited to have the opportunity to use this limited edition Pink B330-RX to help raise awareness and funding in support of finding a cure."
With one in eight women set to battle against the disease in her lifetime, according to BreastCancer.org, finding a cure is imperative to future survival rates.
