Fontana Community Senior Center in Fontana, CA, will offer "360 Healthy Living for Passionately Pink Seniors" on Monday, October 3.
During the event, visitors can receive information on risk factors, symptoms, early detection, nutrition, and exercise recommendations to reduce the risk of breast cancer. Free mammogram screenings provided by Inner Images and available by appointment will be offered from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the center that day.
Presentations on how to achieve "360 degrees of healthy living" will be offered by Pink Pearls of Hope.
"Breast health involves more than just early detection methods; it also involves using preventive actions by maintaining a healthy weight, being physically active, and being mindful of what you eat and drink," said Dr. Imani Price, Founder of Pink Pearls of Hope. "The goal of Pink Pearls of Hope is teach people how to reduce their risk of breast cancer by being mindful of their entire lifestyle."
October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. Events are taking place throughout the country to combat breast cancer.
