Company raises more than $1,500 to help fight breast cancer

Elant, a company that provides health and housing solutions to seniors in Goshen, New York, recently announced that they raised more than $1,500 during the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk that took place at the end of October, according to Staus News.
"Along with our residents and staff, Elant is proud to support Making Strides Against Breast Cancer," Todd Whitney, CEO of Elant Inc, told the publication. "So many of our employees see firsthand the impact of cancer on our residents and their families and understand the importance of improved testing and early detection, so they have a deep personal commitment to the American Cancer Society's efforts to save lives."
According to the American Cancer Society, this disease is the second leading cause of cancer-related death among women, following only lung cancer. However, the death rate has been decreasing since 1990 due to advancements in research and breakthrough breast cancer news. There are currently 2.5 million survivors in the U.S.
