Mornings may have just gotten a little sweeter - Panera Bread, one of the largest bakery-café food chains in the country, is once again promoting their pink ribbon
During the entire month of October, more than 1,000 participating eateries will be donating a portion of the proceeds from their "pink ribbon" bagels to breast cancer charities around the nation. The common morning treat will be baked in the shape of a ribbon and will feature bits of cherries and cranberries.
"Panera Bread is committed to serving the members of the local community, many of whom have had their lives touched by breast cancer," said Panera Bread CEO Ron Saich. "We are honored to support Karmanos in the fight to find a cure for breast cancer."
Panera wouldn't be the first national food chain to join the battle against breast cancer. In fact, earlier this year Kentucky Fried Chicken promoted their Buckets for the Cure campaign, an endeavor which raised millions for the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation.
