Most women have to plead with their significant other to watch a chick flick with them, but now they can tell them it's for a great cause.
According to ETOnline
, the "Pink Ribbon
" Video-on-Demand Charity Campaign will take place throughout the entire month of October. During this time, people who rent one of 16 romantic comedies will see a portion of the sale donated to Susan G. Komen for the Cure, which funds breast cancer research and awareness.
One celebrity who knows a thing or two about romance is Ali Fedotowsky. The former Bachelorette, who chose Roberto Martinez as her main man on the hit dating reality show, spoke with Entertainment Tonight about becoming a spokeswoman for the campaign.
"Roberto is so good about watching chick flicks with me," Ali told the news outlet. "We have already talked about renting all these movies during Breast Cancer Awareness Month."
Films available for home audiences include Miss Congeniality, The Bodyguard and The Notebook.
Fedotowsky isn't the only individual to lend their star quality for the cause. In fact, Christina Applegate, a breast cancer survivor, recently designed jewelry that will benefit research and awareness of the disease.
