As Breast Cancer Awareness Month approaches, many individuals and business are gearing up to help support the cause and to find a cure for the disease.The Orlando Sentinel
reports that the Hard Rock Hotel at Universal Orlando will be joining Hard Rock International's Pinktober campaign, which works to raise money and awareness in the fight against breast cancer.
The hotel will pay special attention to the cause during its monthly Velvet Sessions, which are large cocktail parties and concerts held in the lobby of the establishment.
Rock band Better Than Ezra will kick off the month-long event at the Hard Rock on September 30. The hotel will also select rooms that will be outfitted with pink sheets and pillow cases, and for each night those rooms are booked, they will donate 25 percent of the profits to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
The Breast Cancer Research Foundation has raised more than $290 million that has gone to support clinical and translational research at medical institutes across the globe.
