Susan G. Komen for the Cure will host a gala called A Perfect Pink Party on March 11 in West Palm Beach, Florida. The party will accompany the organization's Race for the Cure fundraiser and will allow breast cancer patients and survivors to meet, greet and share their stories of courage, according to PalmBeachDailyNews.com
"It's an event people want to go to because every single person that I've approached has had a mother, a sister, a cousin or a wife who has had breast cancer. They care about it very deeply," Patty Myura, co-chairwoman of the Pink Party, told the news source.
The gala will be another fundraising initiative to go along with the Race for the Cure, which has been one of the most successful charity drives in the organization's history. Tickets to the gala will cost $1,000 each, and a charity auction will also be held featuring designer-created items from charitybuzz.com.
Susan G. Komen for the Cure is the largest breast cancer organization in the world. The group has invested nearly $1.5 billion in for research and early-detection programs since its inception.
