Dan Neve's wife and mother both received a breast cancer diagnosis within months of each other and he wasn't sure what to do. So, he took his brand new car and turned it into a billboard, promoting businesses that are actively involved in raising money for breast cancer research, the Wisconsin Rapids Tribune
"I am using my brand new Ford Shelby GT 500 as a mobile billboard, showcasing the businesses that make a contribution. The car is black, and I add their logo or name to the car in pink," he told the news provider.
In order for a business to get their name or logo on his car, they have to donate a minimum of $250.
So far he has raised more than $6,000 and his goal is to reach $10,000 before October. That's when he is taking the car to the Cruise for a Cause event, which is sponsored by the Wisconsin Special Vehicle Team Owners Association.
Neve has also been using the car to raise money for the Susan G Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
Susan G Komen for the Cure is a leading organization that has raised more than $1.5 billion for breast cancer research since it was founded in 1982.
