Everyone loves a good spa treatment, but now some lucky people can enjoy pampering themselves while contributing to a worthwhile cause.
Massage Envy, a chain of salons that offers facials and massages, is set to feature a $49 one-hour rubdown on their service menu, and will donate $15 from each one to the Susan G Komen for the Cure Foundation. The one-day-event, known as Massage for the Cure, is now celebrating its sixth year.
"Massage Envy is extremely proud to support Susan G Komen for the Cure again this year by raising funds for breast cancer efforts in our community," said Fort Myers franchise owner Gordon Kaufman.
The event will take place on September 15 and the service will be available at more than 650 Massage Envy locations across the United States. Since 2005, Massage for the Cure has raised more than $1.4 million for breast cancer research, awareness and education.
Breast cancer patients may even want to experience the body-calming spa treatment as well. According to BreastCancer.org
, massage can help alleviate symptoms of anxiety, pain and fatigue.
