Go to sleep in style, while raising breast cancer awareness
, as Verlo Mattress Factory Stores recently announced that it's launching a pink-edged mattress, with a portion of the proceeds in sales going to local charities and breast cancer research groups.
The new mattress is a part of the company's desire to further promote Breast Cancer Awareness Month, which kicks off in October. Those interested in going pink can do so by ordering from Verlo Mattress Factory Stores either online or in a store. Consumers can simply select the pink closing tape at no extra cost. The more expensive the set, the larger the donation on each purchase.
"We wanted to do something appropriate for Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and this program allows the local franchises to decide which community group will benefit," said George Holder, Verlo's chief operating officer. "At Verlo, we take great pride in the fact that our mattresses are built locally, right in our stores, and our local owners know their communities and which charities need help."
Raising awareness can only help in the fight against the disease that affects so many. According to BreastCancer.org, 39,840 women were predicted to loose their battle with the disease in 2010.
