New Hampshire figure skaters host event for Children's Hospital and Breast Cancer Coalition

The Rochester local figure skaters will be hosting their third annual U.S. Figure Skating National Skating Month Celebration: Passion on Ice this Friday night, according to the Foster's Daily Democrat.
The show will feature skaters from the area, as well as a few professionals. It was created to benefit both the Children's Miracle Network and the New Hampshire Breast Cancer Coalition. Tickets will be available at the door.
There are a number of people who will be participating at the event, from all over New England, including a couple skaters from Maine and one from Boston. Miss New Hampshire Collegiate American Meghan Loring will also make an appearance to help the cause, the media outlet reports.
According to the American Cancer Society, this disease is the second leading cause of cancer-related death among women, following only lung cancer. However, the death rate has been decreasing since 1990 due to advancements in research and breast cancer health news. There are currently 2.5 million survivors in the U.S.
