Jun 16, 2011
In Canyon County, participants will join to celebrate Night of Your Life in order to raise awareness and funds for the breast cancer fight, according to a new report from the Idaho Press.
"It’s a fun night to grab your girlfriends, get out of the house and enjoy a really fun night. ...It’s everything women love under one roof while supporting the fight against breast cancer," said event co-founder Alisha Havens.
Musicians such as James Barrett and Shelly Westfall will perform. There will also be wine and activities that are scheduled to fill up the night's events. Vendor booths will even be available for those interested in browsing and purchasing unique items.
Breast cancer affects more than 200,000 new female patients in the U.S. every year, according to the American Cancer Society. Screening for breast cancer can save lives and younger women should have regular clinical exams as well as self breast exams. All women over 40 should receive yearly mammograms, reports the ACS.
