Olivia Newton-John's comic book will benefit breast cancer

Breast cancer survivor Olivia Newton-John will be releasing a biographical comic book in October, just in time for Breast Cancer Awareness month, reports.

The comic will chronicle her rise to stardom, including her first acting roles up to her musical hits of the 1980s.

The award-winning singer and actress, best known for playing Sandy in the filmGrease and her hit song Physical, said that discussing breast cancer was difficult at first, but she has opened up about her ordeal.

"Breast cancer in the beginning that was hard to talk about. So it takes a while before you can put it into a category that you can discuss without becoming emotional," she told the news source.

The Susan G Komen Foundation will be providing a resource guide in each copy of the comic when it comes out this fall.

The Susan G Komen Foundation is a leading breast cancer awareness organization, and has raised more than $1.5 billion dollars toward research of the disease since its founding in 1982.ADNFCR-2795-ID-19918580-ADNFCR
