Pet supply company raises tens of thousands for breast cancer research

Dogs and cats across the pond may have indirectly helped out with a fantastic cause. According to Pet Product Marketing, Ancol, one of the most prominent manufactures of pet supplies in the United Kingdom, recently raised £25,000 for breast cancer research and education.

The company has released a line of pet products that are adorned with the cause's iconic pink ribbon, as well as the image of a puzzle piece, the logo of the Breast Cancer Campaign. The initiative will donate 10 percent of sales to the nonprofit organization.

"It's extremely impressive that Ancol has taken such a strong initiative by developing their own range of products for us," said Franklin Jacoyange of the Breast Cancer Campaign. "We absolutely love the range and are sure that pet owners - and their pets - across the UK will do so too."

According to Cancer Research UK, breast cancer is the most common form of cancer in the United Kingdom, despite the fact that men are rarely diagnosed with the disease.
