Lake Erie will be home of the Living Pink Through Fashion show for the second year in a row on August 20, as the show raises money for the hope of positive breast cancer health news, according to The Times.
The event showcases the best Canadian designers as their creations walk the runway, the media outlet reports.
"Last year, we held the show in Hamilton and it was a great success," Kimberly Edwards, the founder of the fashion show, told the news source. "I decided I wanted to bring it a little closer to home. Part of the show is to celebrate survivors - the inspiration for the show came from my mother who is a five-year breast cancer survivor. All of the outfits will be pink in support of breast cancer research."
According to the Susan G. Komen, one in eight women in the U.S. will eventually be diagnosed with breast cancer during their lifetime. It is recommended that once women reach the age of 40, they should start to scheduling annual mammogram - to attempt to catch the disease in the early stages.
