Sunbelt employees race for breast cancer awareness

As the saying goes, breakfast is the most important meal of the day.
Perhaps the employees of Sunbelt Snacks, a company that manufacturers 29 varieties of breakfast cereal, take that wisdom to heart and dig into their own product? They all seem to be eager to run for a good cause!

Last year, many Sunbelt workers participated in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure event in their local Chattanooga, Tennessee. The race was part of a nationwide initiative that aims to raise breast cancer awareness by organizing nine different road races around the country.

It seems like the Sunbelt employees are still raring to go after last year's event and plan to participate again this year.

"The Sunbelt employees who volunteered and participated in last year’s events had such a great time and were so thrilled to take part in the breast cancer movement that we jumped on the chance to sponsor more races this year," said Sunbelt Brand Manager Jeff Badger.

To date the Susan G. Komen foundation has donated more than $38 million to funding international breast cancer research and community outreach programs, according to their website.
