Tic Tac recently announced the launch of their new program, Shake, Share and Care, which helps support breast cancer awareness
The brand has partnered with CancerCare, an organization dedicated to educating people about the affect cancer has on people battling the disease and their loved ones.
Tic Tac has made an initial donation of $100,000, and has committed to a six-year partnership with the organization. They will continue to make donations on behalf of consumers who join the cause through a new Facebook initiative as well.
Fans of the Facebook page are encouraged to share their own stories about helping care for someone with cancer. Tic Tac will donate $5 for every person that shares their story.
"Together, we hope the Shake, Share and Care program will go far in offering professional support services for anyone whose life has been affected by cancer," director of corporate relations for CancerCare Christina Wyman said.
A limited edition Pink Grapefruit flavor of Tic Tacs will also be available through October 2010.
According to the American Cancer Society, one in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime.
