You don't have to ask a girl twice if she is in the mood to get pampered. So when a recent event offered mani-pedis, massages and other spa treatments to raise money for breast cancer, it wasn't a surprise that it went off without a hitch.
According to WCTN News
, the event, Fight Like a Girl...Feel Like a Woman, which was sponsored by the American Cancer Society, took place at the Greenville Mall in North Carolina this past weekend. Eager shoppers had the chance to indulge in nail, hair and body treatments while contributing to the important cause.
Tonya Cabaniss, a stylist at the event and three-year brain cancer survivor, was there to help out.
"I thought this would be a great way to give back to the community and help people when they're going through treatments as I went through treatments," she told the news source. "I know how bad you can feel and how the effects on your hair and your skin."
This isn't the first beauty related event geared towards breast cancer awareness
. In fact, during breast cancer awareness month, spas across the country often let patients and survivors experience free services in order to feel refreshed and beautiful.
