There are endless breast cancer fundraisers every year, but it looks like a bunch of women are now hogging all the attention.
The leather-clad ladies are stepping onto their motorcycles for The Breast Ride, a trip that will take them from Oklahoma to South Texas and back in an effort to raise money for the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation, according to MyFoxLubbock.com
Kay Young, who was diagnosed with stage one of the disease six weeks ago, is one such rider.
"I found a lump in my breast, a very, very small one, immediately called the next morning, made my mammogram and ultrasound," she told the news outlet.
The news source reports that the finish line will be decked out with pink balloons, while the event will also feature vendors and exhibitions along the way.
"We're hoping to partner with motorcycle riders and we hope to reach a new audience, not only survivors, but again with education," Allison Lewis of the Susan G. Komen for the Cure, told the news provider.
It looks like Harley Davidson lovers may be putting on the color pink again this year. Another event, The Breast Ride Ever, will take place in Canada in July.
