I had a routine mammogram in June 2011 and wasn't concerned when they called me back for another mammo. It had happened before because I had dense breasts. I skipped in there with my 21-year-old daughter, happy to be spending a day together. Then my world came crashing down.

Nancy's Story

I went for a routine mammogram on April 5, 2013, which also turned into an ultrasound. The radiologist saw an area of concern and suggested a biopsy. On Friday morning, April 12, I got the call that I had breast cancer. I couldn't hear anything after that — breast cancer consumed every thought.
