At 40 I had a base mammogram and was told not to come back until I was 50. But, at 45 I found a lump. My doctor said it was probably benign, but when we checked it was not -- I had Stage II breast cancer with 1 positive lymph node. After a mastectomy, chemotherapy and radiation I was cancer-free -- that was 9 years ago! Get your mammograms, ladies. Check your breasts yourself. And follow up if things don't seem/feel right! This is your life!!
