12 yrs ago when i was 19 , i was diagnosed with hodgkins lymphoma . Not even a year after I graduated out of highschool. It was the scariest and hardest thing I have ever had to do in my life . At first i didnt want to fight, and a lot of people did not understand why . i saw the look on my familys face and realized i at least had to try ... I went through almost a yr of chemo and radiation had half my lymphnoid taking out and later when i was 24 got thyroid disease from the radiation and the chemo destroyed my teeth . had to get 12 teeth pulled and really found out who my real friends were by who stuck around , they just were not as strong as i , and even now i come across that when i talk about it i have had realationships after not happen because they were still afraid but, after having to go through all that I am greatful that i had the strength to fight for myself , my family and now the start of my new family i knew adventually i would find someone that was as strong as i was. No matter how much you feel like there is no hope , thats the one thing you have to hold on to because that is what is going to save you !
