My mom was diagnosed with breast cancer 2 weeks ago. It has been a whirlwind of tears, tests, up to the first treatment today. Every single procedure... MRI, PET Scan, Ultrasound, Anesthesia... has been performed using equipment manufactured by the company I work for! I actually was a buyer/planner for the parts used to make the PET Scanner, I drove projects around fulfillment of customer orders for our Ultrasound machines, and I managed the production team making Anesthesia machines! It is so easy to get frustrated at work by the daily grind, but it is this... making an impact on people's lives... MY mom's life... that makes it all worthwhile. The last two weeks have really helped me to see what is truly important in life, and reminded me to keep everything in perspective.
"When you choose hope, anything is possible." My mom is the strongest woman I have ever met, and I know she will make this fight look like a walk in the park. Stay strong... Fight hard... KO the Ca!
