Five years ago after undergoing tests on my heart it was determined I needed quadruple bypass heart surgery. Also included in those tests was a routine mammogram. Imagine my surprise that I also had a large lump under my left armpit! The biopsy proved a malignancy. I had my heart surgery first to insure that my heart would be stable enough for chemotherapy. After chemo the lump completely disappeared - much to the doctor's surprise. But, after 6 months, the lump reappeared. I decided to have a partial mastectomy. I underwent radiation treatments. All this without any. support from anyone; I had to face this alone. My family showed no compassion and I had no real friends to support me. Enter the Wiccan community. One of the Oncology nurses was a practicing Wicca. Their circle embraced me and lifted me up. Two years later I am cancer-free. I am, now, a practicing Wicca and the Goddesses bless me everyday I am alive. Blessed be all who suffer; may they find their path to health & happiness.
